Wade had been travelling for three days now only resting a few hours every night in a bid to get to Forwell as soon as possible after aquiring the latest artifact from his latest quest. The quest had come to him in writting and he knew not who the item was for only who to leave it with. Of course entering the city this artifact would be removed from him if he could not find an "alternate" route for the artifact to find in.

The three days of constant travel, blinding sun and blistering heat - his supplies running low, fluids at minimum, his ride and drummit both exhausted and in need of drinks - were all made worthwhile when he saw "the roost", that colletion of shelters he knew would help his artifact make its way into the city.

The journy had been tough and the lack of sleep was taking its toll on Wade as he felt his whole body ache with the need for a good bed, but before that he had to find someone willing to help with his "import" as well as sell him some fluids.

Riding into "The Roost" Wade kept his eyes peeled for a shelter offering water as well as "transport" for his item ...

For Lucky, she couldn't get out of Kjef soon enough. She had every intention of leaving the past where it was, in the past. She had heard Voj speak of Forwell several times; and for the most part, it seemed to be a quite promising dwelling for her, and perhaps a good start for finding her long lost friend. After a few days' travel, Lucky approached an area of several tents and groups of scruffy looking individuals just outside the city. She arched an eyebrow in curiosity and took the area in. She saw one person doling out what she immediately recognized to be Black Ruby. Others were quarrelling and soon, several individuals broke out into a fight, fists and threats flying.

"Now this looks promising," she said as she pressed forward to enter the small community, but before she could get much closer, Lucky was nearly run over by a man and his mount. "OY!" she said, leaping backwards. She looked up at the indivual and saw an older, obviouvly well travelled, handsome man. She smirked at him and swore in Kjeffian.

Wade had been riding looking directly ahead at where he was going, which with his sun visor on ment that he had not seen the woman off to the side and only heard her voice when she called up at him.

He pulled on his reins stopping the Droven and jumped off its back in front of the lady running a hand through his head, grains of sand being shaken free and flicking up into the air as he bowed his head

"Sorry ma'am"

He raised his head and smiled though only the creases in his cheek revelaed this as his coat was done up to its fullest

"Sun visor, didn't see you there"

Under the cover of the sun visor his eyes roamed over her body taking in its curves and shape and he smiled again

"Forgive me ma'am?"

Lucky looked sideways at the man for a moment and nodded, closing her eyes. No use in making an enemy before even entering Forwell. Dusk was now settling into twilight and Lucky knew it was safe to pull back her hood, she hadn't travelled by day but by night. However today, she left from an inn just outside Forwell at the break of dusk, avoiding the most harmful of the sun's rays. She pulled back her hood and studied the stranger once more, her violet eyes scanning his weathered face. He seemed to be on a mission of sorts and a bit in a hurry.

"Not at all," she finally said. "Guess I wasn't paying too much attention myself. I'm new here after all. You seem to be in quite a hurry, don't let me hold you up."

((I guess this is a good a place as any to start... ))

"How do I keep getting myself into these situations!?" Meras asked himself a little angrily. He was a ways outside of Forwell, and The Roost was in sight, the place where he would start his profession. He had, once again, screwed something up, and was floating upside down, about ten feet over the sands of the desert. Sitting up, as best he could against the pull of gravity, Meras slipped out the right sole of his boot, and his leg shuddered and fell. He dropped somewhere near twenty inches, wasting no time in slipping out the other sole. Standing up, and stretching a bit, Meras groaned.

"Herborite is some tricky stuff." he grumbled quietly. Looking in front of him, he sighted The Roost again. "I think I'll just walk the rest of the way. Slipping the soles into his pack, near the bottom, Meras walked briskly into the smuggling center of Forwell.

Quiet sort, Lucky thought. At that, she turned on her heel to leave the gentleman to his business when she saw what she at first assumed was a mirage. A young man who appeared to be approximately the same age as she was floating upside down and . . . flying towards them? Lucky knew that the sun often played tricks on people's eyes, but she had minimal exposure to the sun today. Surely it wasn't here imagination. She began at once to doubt herself. She had, after all, been travelling quite a bit lately.

"Do you see that?" she turned back to her new acquaintance. "Or am I imagining it?"

She rubbed her eyes and looked again, this time the hovering man was grounded and pulling off his shoes. That made much more sense, she decided.

Wade turned back to look at the woman and then looked out to the man who was now walkting toward them slowly.

"See what?"

He hadn't seen it as the sunvisor covered his peripheral vision.

"Was he doing something?"

He peered out toward the man squinting slightly as the sun was now in his face, but the man did not appear at all out of the ordinary

Since the day was a good one Avy decided to venture outside the city's wall in search of some trinkets or whatnots that had yet to file through the gates. It was a great way to get over priced goods before they made their way into the city.

Avy was browsing when she noticed a man floating and then falling. He claimed it was herborite. Someone has that stuff in the smugglers market. They must be quite rich. Which means they may have other goods as well.

Avy walked up between the people who were discussing the man and she waited between them for him to finish coming in the direction. "That man must have a fortune to possess the material that lets you float. Are you two wondering as well If he has exotic wares and whatnot ready to sell to the greatest spender?"

(OOC:Since you are all new, My char is 30 years out of date. Shes 53 years old but looks as if she is about 35. I suppose all the rest of the char description still fits.)

Lucky looked the oppulantly dressed woman over with a note of suspicion. Vibrant colored robes of cloth and silk, not the usual drab leather, adorned the well to do lady and made her stick out like teeth on a fricken. Upon observing her long trailing her, Lucky at once recognized the famous painter. She didn't let on like she knew her and acted just as if Avyonelix was merely an upper class Forwell dweller slumming it in The Roost.

"Greatest spender?" Lucky arched an eyebrow. This lady better be glad I'm not a thief, she thought to herself. "Not all of us are here to buy, madame," she warned and winked at her visored companion, figuring that she had guessed his game by now. Weathered hands, tanned skin, double breasted jacket with probably a dozen pockets and gizmos inside, maybe even a trinket or two. This treasure hunter was clearly on this side of Forwell seeking out a mule. "It is good to know that I wasn't hallucinating or anything of that sort." Lucky turned back to Avyonelix. "An upside down hovering man is a strange sight. I suppose you're here for wares and whatnots then?"

Wade took an immediate dislike to the newcomer and the fact that a duo he wouldn’t have minded keeping for a few more moments was suddenly a ménage a trios and likely to become a full on gathering at this rate.

He caught the wink from lucky and one cheek creased revealing the smirk otherwise hidden under his jacket and he voiced up

"If you'll excuse me ma'am I must take my leave"

He bowed to her and then returned upright looking at the other female with a frown before in a less amiable tone he uttered

"M'lady"

Turning he climbed back up onto the Droven and steered it away from the two women, sincerely hoping he'd meet one of them again...
